ST. ALBANS, Vt. (AP) - Police have identified the motorist killed in a car crash in northern Vermont.

Authorities say 42-year-old Andy Elkins, of Georgia, lost control of the car, went off the road and struck a tree in St. Albans Town on Saturday afternoon.

Elkins was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Monday that they are trying to determine if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to St. Albans Police Department.
