POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) - An eastern Idaho man police say was in a bar while the 4-year-old girl he was supposed to be babysitting was wandering around a parking lot is facing a charge of misdemeanor injury to a child.

KIFI-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2fBRLWY) that police on Saturday arrested 27-year-old Robert Curtis Faulkner.

Police say witnesses reported the child in the parking lot and that a man came out of the bar and put the child back into the vehicle, and then returned to the bar.

Police made contact with the child and called the child’s mother, who said Faulkner was babysitting the child.

Police then made contact with Faulkner and subsequently took him into custody.

It’s not clear if Faulkner has an attorney.
