FONTANA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities investigating the death of an 18-month-old boy have arrested three employees of a Southern California child care facility.

Deacon Morin was found unresponsive after being placed down for a nap Oct. 5 at Marriott Family Child Care in Fontana. He was rushed to a hospital, where he died five days later.

Investigators say the boy was wearing a beaded necklace around his neck when he took the nap.

Police on Tuesday arrested three workers - ages 27, 29 and 52 - on suspicion of child endangerment.

Authorities say the facility was found to be caring for more children that day than its state license allows.

A message seeking comment from officials with the child care facility was not immediately returned Wednesday.
