SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Republican John Dougall has been re-elected as Utah’s state auditor after handily defeating Democrat Mike Mitchell.

Dougall’s large win in Tuesday’s election mirrored his win four years ago by a large margin.

Dougall is a former state lawmaker who has worked for several tech companies.

The auditor’s office reviews how various government agencies spent money, operate and comply with laws.
