MILWAUKEE (AP) - Authorities have recovered a sport utility vehicle they believe was involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Milwaukee that killed a 5-year-old girl on her way to church, but they’re still searching for the driver.

Police also say they’ve made an arrest in connection with the incident. Further details weren’t immediately available.

Police say Rickyia Langham was hit by a passing vehicle that fled the scene Sunday morning. A pastor who’s related to the girl said she was with family headed to church when the incident happened.

Relatives, friends and others gathered near the scene of the crash for a vigil in her memory Tuesday. A collection was taken to help the family pay burial costs. A memorial fund in Rickyia’s name also has been established at Educators Credit Union.
