ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - A University of Georgia student has been accused plundering the checking account of a club she was a member of.

Citing a UGA police report, the Athens Banner-Herald (https://bit.ly/2fD58X6 ) says 23-year-old Kayla Marie Hargrove made unauthorized withdrawals totaling more than $4,100 from the university’s Pre-Veterinary Medicine Club between August 2015 and June 2016.

Hargrove, who was listed by the club as having served as its community service chair from 2015 to 2016, was arrested Oct. 28 on 17 felony theft counts.

It is unclear whether Hargrove has an attorney.
