Camp Verde Marshal’s Office: Phoenix man sought in homicide

CAMP VERDE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in Camp Verde are looking for a Phoenix man in connection with a homicide in the Yavapai County community.

Commander Jacquelyn MacConnell of the Camp Verde Marshal’s Office says 27-year-old Levi Jones is sought in the fatal shooting of another man at a convenience store early Monday morning.

MacConnell says Jones left the scene in a silver-colored 2011 Hyundai Sonata four-door sedan with Arizona license plate BRH4045.

The victim’s identity hasn’t been released and MacConnell says investigators don’t know a motive for the shooting.

However, MacConnell says Jones was at the store with a woman who was involved in an altercation with a woman who was with the victim.
