Police: Fatal Wichita shooting suspect broke into apartment

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - Authorities say a man suspected in the deadly shooting of a 55-year-old Wichita woman broke into her apartment.

The Wichita Eagle (https://bit.ly/2dRIH3i ) reports that a police report released Monday says the man fled on foot from the Water’s Edge Apartments and wasn’t found. The woman died Saturday night at a Wichita hospital.

The police report says the person who reported the shooting and two witnesses were taken to police offices for interviews.
