ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A woman is facing charges after authorities say she was caught driving the wrong way down an Albuquerque street with three children in her vehicle while possibly under the influence of intoxicants.

KOB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2dCFjJ1 ) that Daryl Biggs appeared in court Saturday and was charged with child abuse.

Court documents say a Bernalillo County sheriff’s deputy spotted the woman driving the wrong way on a road early Friday.

The deputy reported smelling alcohol and said the woman had been slurring her words.

Biggs allegedly told the deputy she wasn’t from the area and had been trying to find a hotel.
