PURVIS, Miss. (AP) - A woman is facing charges after her husband was killed during what police believe was a domestic dispute.

Local news outlets report that Lamar County Sheriff Danny Rigel says deputies were called to an apartment complex near Purvis on Sunday morning after being notified that 41-year-old Andrea Miller had turned herself in to Marion County authorities. Miller told them she had gotten into a domestic dispute.

Deputies discovered 44-year-old Thomas Miller dead inside the residence. Rigel says it appears the victim was stabbed. An autopsy will be conducted.

He says Andrea Miller was taken to the Lamar County jail for questioning and will be charged with murder in the death.

Officials say it doesn’t appear that anyone else was involved in the incident.
