BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Two Louisiana Tech players who combined for 34 of the Bulldogs’ 55 points and a Nicholls defensive player with 14 total tackles caught the eye of the voters in this week’s Louisiana Sports Writers Association Player of the Week voting.

Wide receiver Carlos Henderson caught eight passes for 232 yards and three touchdowns for offensive player of the week and Jonathon Barnes scored a total of 13 points on special teams with his kicking leg to lead Louisiana Tech to a 55-52 conference win over Western Kentucky.

Defensive lineman Sully Laiche forced a fumble that sealed Nicholls State’s 35-28 double over-time win over Stephen F. Austin, sealing him the defensive honors for the week.
