WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) - Police have identified the 21-year-old man who was struck and killed over the weekend in Westchester County by a woman who has been charged with drunk driving.
The Journal News reports (https://lohud.us/2e2ZeOh ) Robby Schartner was walking back to Manhattanville College when he was struck just before 5 a.m. Sunday in White Plains. College officials say the student from Fishkill in Dutchess County was entering his third season with the school’s lacrosse program.
Police say they’ve charged 24-year-old Emma Fox, of Rye, with vehicular homicide and DWI in Schartner’s death. White Plains Police Commissioner David Chong said Monday Fox’s blood-alcohol level was 0.21 percent after the crash. That’s more than twice the legal limit.
She’s being held in jail on $100,000 bail.
It’s unclear if she has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
