ATLANTA (AP) - Prosecutors say a teenager has been sentenced to 23 years in prison for sexually assaulting a store clerk at gunpoint during a robbery in suburban Atlanta.

The Fulton County District Attorney’s office said Wednesday that 17-year-old Demarquez Wagner pleaded guilty to the crimes. Wagner was one of two masked men who entered a Metro PCS store in East Point with handguns in 2015 when Wagner commanded a 20-year-old woman at gunpoint to enter a restroom and sexually assaulted her.

Both suspects fled in a stolen vehicle. Wagner was arrested 10 days after the incident, as an investigation found that his DNA matched the same one collected at the scene of the sexual assault.

Wagner was also given life on probation.

Police have not confirmed the capture of the second suspect.
