TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Police in Tulsa say the shooting death of a man in a city park is believed to be connected to a crime spree that included armed robberies, the theft of a pickup truck and a carjacking.

Sgt. Dave Walker says three suspects are in custody Thursday after a man’s body was found in Mohawk Park on the city’s north side Wednesday. Walker says the man hasn’t been positively identified, but is believed to have been killed because his brother is suspected of stealing a truck.

Walker says the suspects are believed to have gone to the victim’s apartment in search of his brother and the stolen truck, then abducted and killed the victim. The suspects are also believed to have committed a carjacking at gunpoint and several armed robberies.
