JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A Golden Corral employee has been hospitalized after she was doused with fluid and set on fire while working inside the Jacksonville restaurant.

Jacksonville sheriff’s deputies tell media outlets that a man, who was an acquaintance of the woman, entered the restaurant early Wednesday evening and doused the employee with a flammable liquid.

He then lit her on fire. The unidentified woman was airlifted to a hospital in Gainesville. There was no word on her immediate condition.

JSO spokesman Sgt. Jay Farhat says the suspect was taken into custody and is being charged with attempted murder. His identity hasn’t been released.

The incident was captured on surveillance video. The business was packed when the attacked occurred.

Golden Corral officials say the suspect didn’t work at the restaurant.
