WATERVILLE, Maine (AP) - Police have arrested two Maine brothers who they say torched a car with a homemade Molotov cocktail last June as part of an alleged dispute over stolen marijuana plants.
The Morning Sentinel reports (https://bit.ly/2dZN0ax ) 25-year-old Alexis Casey and 22-year-old Zachary Casey were charged Wednesday with class A arson, an offense punishable by up to 30 years in prison.
Police say the Waterville men wanted to settle the score with a man who they believed had stolen marijuana plants from a legal grow operation.
The brothers were arrested Tuesday in the culmination of a months-long investigation.
It was unclear if the brothers had an attorney. They were represented by a counselor who was acting as lawyer of the day during their initial court appearance Wednesday. No pleas were entered.
