KEYPORT, N.J. (AP) - Keyport High School will retain its Red Raiders nickname and logo which features a Native American in headdress and an arrowhead.

The school board voted 6-4 Wednesday night to keep the mascot.

A 1994 graduate had argued the image was offensive and insensitive. However, other members of the community argued the name instilled a sense of pride.
