THAXTON, Va. (AP) - Authorities say a teenager suspected of firing shots at a TV news vehicle in rural Virginia has been arrested.

WDBJ-TV (https://bit.ly/2e4rZMe ) reports authorities announced the arrest of 18-year-old Daniel Flint on charges Thursday including malicious shooting of an occupied vehicle and attempted malicious shooting of an occupied vehicle.

Bedford County deputies say Flint shot at several cars in that area Thursday afternoon, including a vehicle driven by WDBJ-TV reporter Tim Saunders. Saunders wasn’t hurt.

When deputies went to Flint’s home, they found bullet holes, broken doors and a fire burning behind the house next to a propane tank, according to authorities.

It’s unclear if Flint has an attorney.

Two journalists from the same Roanoke area station were shot and killed on live television in 2015 by a disgruntled ex-reporter.
