COVINGTON, La. (AP) - A district attorney says law enforcement authorities have made a major drug bust in St. Tammany Parish.

The Advocate newspaper (https://bit.ly/2ez6tSs ) reports the 22nd Judicial District Attorney Warren Montgomery announced the results of the year-long investigation on Thursday.

Montgomery says 20 suspects have been indicted as a result of the investigation into a heroin and crystal meth ring known as “Team We.”

He described the case as one of the largest in parish history.

He says 16 of the suspects indicted are in jail and another four are still at large.

The district attorney says the arrests were the result of a multi-agency investigation that included the FBI, the Sheriff’s Office, the DA’s office and police departments in Slidell and Pearl River.
