MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Gov. Scott Walker is asking students in Wisconsin schools to submit ornaments for the Capitol Christmas Tree.

The theme this year is “Wisconsin Wildlife.”

Walker said in a statement Friday that “One of the many reasons Wisconsin remains a popular tourism destination is our magnificent wildlife. With the help of our students, we want this year’s State Capitol Christmas tree to reflect the beauty of our great state.”

Ornaments must be submitted by Nov. 23.

The tree is on display in the rotunda of the Capitol during the holiday season.
