HIGHGATE, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say a 14-year-old boy died after being struck by a car on U.S. Route 7 in Highgate.

Police on Saturday identified the victim as Christian Regan and said he lived in neighboring Swanton.

Police said he was riding a bicycle north on the highway when he was struck by a car driven by 22-year-old Gage Bouchard of Highgate.

State Police Sgt. William Warner said the crash investigation was continuing. He asked that anyone with information about the accident contact the State Police in St. Albans at 802-524-5993.
