TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - State authorities say a New Jersey man had more than 325,000 images and videos of child pornography on his computer equipment, the largest cache ever found by state investigators.
Charles Diggs was arrested Sept. 3 after authorities executed a search warrant at his Roselle home. The investigation began after Hunterdon County prosecutors got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a Twitter account that allegedly was uploading child porn.
Authorities say the account was traced to the 36-year-old Diggs and investigators identified 12 images of child porn that he allegedly distributed. They seized five computers and numerous hard drives.
A state grand jury recently indicted Diggs on charges of distributing and possessing child porn. It wasn’t known Sunday if he has retained an attorney.
