HONOLULU (AP) - Maui County lifted a shark warning issued after a snorkeler sustained injuries consistent with a bite.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports (https://bit.ly/2evx833) the warning signs were posted from Kalama Park to Kamaole Beach Park III.
No sharks were spotted by a Fire Department helicopter or Saturday patrols that included county lifeguards and officers with the State Division of Conservation and Resource Enforcement.
The Maui Fire Department said a Washington state snorkeler sustained injuries Friday that were consistent with a shark bite.
Bystanders had helped the woman to shore.
