RIMROCK, Ariz. (AP) - The Latest on the arrest of a juvenile in the fatal shooting of a man in Rimrock (all times local):
3:25 p.m.
A 17-year-old boy is facing multiple charges including murder in the shooting of a man in Rimrock.
Yavapai County sheriff’s officials said Sunday the suspect has been booked into a Prescott juvenile detention facility on murder, armed robbery and other counts.
Detectives were called the day before to a hospital where the teen was being treated for a gunshot wound in the leg.
He admitted while being interviewed to shooting 25-year-old Jarrod Rogers in a home during an attempted robbery Friday night.
He then fled the area.
Rogers died at the scene. The victim’s wife was also present and allegedly assaulted.
But police say she was not seriously hurt.

A 17-year-old boy is being accused of fatally shooting a man in Rimrock.
Yavapai County sheriff’s spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says the suspect was arrested Saturday.
D’Evelyn did not say what charges he faces or if he will be charged as an adult.
Deputies were called late Friday to respond to a 25-year-old man who had been shot. The victim died at the scene.
According to investigators, the suspect had immediately fled.
Authorities did not say how they located the suspect or what the motive was.
But D’Evelyn says the victim appears to have been targeted.
The victim’s name was not released.
