FREEPORT, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have released the names of two people whose bodies were found at a residence in Winneshiek (WIH’-neh-shihk) County.
The bodies were discovered Sunday evening by an officer who was dispatched to the home in the Freeport area after people reported hearing gunshots.
The Sheriff’s Office identified the two as 55-year-old Craig Freilinger and 41-year-old Sarah Szabo. The Sheriff’s Office says the couple had recently separated.
The Sheriff’s Office says it’s not searching for any suspects and says there’s no reason to believe the public is in any danger. Autopsies have been ordered.
