MACON, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a Macon man accused of killing his brother earlier this year has died before going to trial.

Macon-Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones tells news outlets that 63-year-old Alton Williams was pronounced dead Friday night. Jones says Williams had pneumonia and respiratory complications.

Williams had been charged with murder after his brother, 57-year-old Harry Lee Williams, was found dead from a gunshot wound to the chest on Feb. 23. The two shared a house with another brother of theirs in east Macon.

Investigators said Alton Williams had been in an argument with the victim about money and drugs.
