LEVITTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Police say a Bucks County woman was acting in self-defense when she stabbed her former longtime boyfriend to death.
Officials announced over the weekend 59-year-old David Mathias III suffered a major mental health breakdown when he attacked the 45-year-old with a knife as she slept in her Levittown home last month.
The woman gained control of the knife and stabbed Mathis. He had moved out of the home weeks earlier.
Police have not released the woman’s name.
