HIGH POINT, N.C. (AP) - Police in High Point are investigating the drive-by shooting death of a man last weekend.
Police told local media outlets that 34-year-old Michael Jerome Davis Sr. of High Point died Sunday at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Police said Davis was found outside his home shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday with two gunshot wounds in the back.
Police said Davis managed to call 911 to report he had been shot but he didn’t know who shot him.
Capt. Tim Ellenberger said Davis appears to have been the target of the shooting. Police have not disclosed a motive.
No arrests have been reported.
