ELKO, Nev. (AP) - Authorities have recovered the body and vehicle of a Spring Creek man they believe died when his car plunged off a canyon road.
The Elko Daily Free Press reports (https://bit.ly/2dledHg ) that the Elko County Sheriff’s Office has identified the deceased as 27-year-old Michael Skinner, who was last seen by family members on Friday.
Emergency crews were called Sunday when an off-duty firefighter discovered the vehicle had gone over the embankment on Lamoille Canyon road. The sheriff’s office reported there were no skid marks or other indications of braking action prior to the vehicle exiting the roadway.
The incident is under investigation.
