CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a man who they say admitted vandalizing an athletic field and spray-painting a swastika on a field house in Camden.

Camden County police charged 28-year-old Alexander Peters of Gloucester City with criminal mischief on Monday, when he was taken to the county jail after being sentenced for an aggravated assault charge.

Officials say Peters admitted driving across the field in Camden’s Fairview section on Oct. 9, leaving the field unplayable for a youth football league. They also say Peters told them he painted the swastika.

It’s not known if Peters has a lawyer.
