OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a man has died after setting off a pipe bomb at an Oakland health clinic.

Police had responded to the San Antonio Neighborhood Health Center after reports of the explosion Tuesday night.

Witnesses told police a man in a wheelchair entered the lobby of the clinic and then detonated what appeared to be a pipe bomb, taking his own life.

The Oakland Police Department is investigating the death as an apparent suicide.

No other injuries were reported.

Alameda County bomb squad units were investigating the scene for more explosives, but the area is now clear.
