MULDROW, Okla. (AP) - A teacher in eastern Oklahoma has been charged after authorities say she allowed her son to fight another student on school grounds as she watched.

The Oklahoman (https://bit.ly/2eizlN5 ) reports that the teacher, who works for Muldrow Public Schools, has been charged in Sequoyah County District Court with enabling child abuse by injury.

According to a court affidavit, the teacher knew the fight was going to take place at a high school on Sept. 29, and made no attempts to stop it. Muldrow police say the teacher watched the fight and never called for assistance or intervened until a student stepped in and stopped it.

Police say administrators later showed the teacher a video of the incident.

Superintendent Ron Flanagan declined to say whether the teacher is facing any disciplinary action, citing that it’s a personnel matter.
