WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington Police say a woman was critically injured when she was shot in her car.
The department said in a news release that officer checking on a report of shots fired early Wednesday found the 23-year-old woman in the driver’s seat of a car. Police say she had a gunshot wound in her neck.
Officers say the woman was taken to a local hospital, where she was in critical but stable condition.
Investigators arrested 26-year-old male George Flores of Wilmington, who was sitting in the back seat of the car. Officers recovered a .38-caliber revolver handgun from the vehicle.
Flores is charged with assault and other offenses.
