NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Police say they are investigating two shootings in New Haven that appear to be related.

Police responded to the first shooting just after 2 p.m. Sunday on a residential street. The victim, 28-year-old Taevon Alston, was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

Minutes later, 33-year-old Harold Herring walked into another nearby hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound. Police say Herring’s condition is listed as critical but stable.

Police believe the shootings are related and happened at the same scene.

Police say they have not yet located any witnesses to the shootings.
