SPANISH FORK, Utah (AP) - Utah authorities say a 30-year-old man died after colliding with a semi on State Route 6 in Spanish Fork Canyon on Sunday morning.

The Utah Department of Public Safety says Daniel Pike of Price, who was the only person in his car, was heading east when he struck a semi-truck that was headed west.

Pike was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the car. He died on scene.

Authorities believe Pike was driving under the influence.

Nobody else was injured.
