ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities have identified the body found this week in the trunk of a car at a MARTA station.

MARTA police said they received a phone call to check out a car in the parking lot of the H.E. Holmes MARTA station Tuesday morning.

WSB-TV (https://2wsb.tv/2elXdh0 ) reports when police opened the car’s trunk they found a man’s body inside.

MARTA Police identified the victim as 33-year-old Christopher J. Dean of Lithia Springs.

MARTA spokeswoman Alisa Jackson says preliminary findings indicate that Dean was killed at another location and taken to the parking lot and abandoned with his vehicle.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact MARTA Police at 404-848-4911.
