BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A justice of the peace has denied a request to release a Washington state man jailed on suspicion of possessing 50 pounds of marijuana so he could make it to his cancer surgery.
The Billings Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/2emgu3z) that Justice of the Peace David Carter said the charges against 39-year-old Travis Sean Tubert Jackson were too concerning to grant the request.
Jackson is being held in lieu of $10,000 bond in Yellowstone County on two felony counts of criminal possession with intent to distribute and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
