BESSEMER, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say a 60-year-old Bessemer man died in a fall, apparently while trying to free his stuck car.

Jefferson County Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates tells al.com (https://bit.ly/2dqHW1r) Bryan Keith Shivers was found near his home Wednesday morning.

When authorities arrived, they found Shivers’ vehicle on the side of the road across from his house. Yates said it appears to have been stuck in the dirt and grass, and there were marks where the tires had been spinning.

He says Shivers’ body was discovered about 30 feet down a nearby embankment.

Yates said he had injuries consistent with a fall, and foul play is not suspected.
