JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A Jacksonville woman is accused of leaving a child in a hot car for at least 40 minutes outside a nursing home.

WJXT-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2euNqFM ) the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says 25-year-old Katy Gross was arrested Tuesday and charged with child abuse.

Police say the child was in the car from at least 9:45 a.m. to 10:25 a.m. with no air. Officers said the child was “very hot and sweaty,” but did not have to be taken to the hospital.

The child’s age is unknown.
