NORTHUMBERLAND, N.H. (AP) - A Vermont manufacturer that’s expanding into northern New Hampshire says it anticipates hiring more than 50 people to support its move into a former paper mill plant.

NSA Industries of St. Johnsbury has signed a long-term lease to rent 73,000 square feet of space on the site of the former Wausau Paper Mill in the village of Groveton.

The owner of the property, Bob Chapman, wants to create a commercial/industrial complex that will draw business to the North Country. It will be named in a ceremony next year.

Chapman also plans to devote 85 acres to create an industrial park for companies related to the fields of energy, natural gas, wind and solar production.

The former mill closed in 2007, putting several hundred people out of work.
