WHITING, Ind. (AP) - The Mascot Hall of Fame is getting a brick-and-mortar building in Whiting, Indiana. Soon, all of those furry cheerleaders who have only had an online shrine will get their due.

Six new potential inductees will be added to the latest ballot at Friday’s groundbreaking for the museum.

These are some of the mascots who have already made the cut, from the New York Mets’ Mr. Met to the University of Tennessee’s Smokey.
