DOVER, Del. (AP) - Officials in Delaware are collecting expired and unused medications at 27 sites during National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

Each site will accept medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Officials say the collection sites will accept prescription drugs as well as over-the-counter pills, liquids ad cream medications. Officials say they are also accepting pet medications.

Last year, Delaware officials collected more than 7,600 pounds of drugs during the take-back day.

The take-back event in Delaware is being coordinated by the Division of Public Health’s Healthy Homes Program. Sites include police departments, the Dover Air Force Base commissary and the New Castle County Airport. A list of sites can be found at: https://bit.ly/1IA5N7x .
