NAMPA, Idaho (AP) - Nampa police are investigating a hit and run crash that killed a 43-year-old man.

KBOI-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2euqycc ) that the Saturday morning crash also injured two young girls.

Officers say a 3-year-old and an 8-year-old were taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. The children were related to the victim.

Dispatch investigated a suspicious call reporting the hit and run. They say they later learned the caller was 20-year-old Tristian Donovan Myers.

Police say Myers confessed to hitting the man with his 1992 Ford.

Myers has been charged with a felony, accused of leaving the scene of an injury crash. He is being held at the Canyon County Jail.

Police say alcohol appears to be a factor in this crash.
