NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The Charleston County coroner has released the name of a 9-year-old child killed in a six-vehicle crash in North Charleston over the weekend.

The coroner tells local news outlets that the crash killed Da’Vieona Hamilton of Charleston.

She died Saturday evening of injuries suffered in the accident which occurred at an exit ramp on Interstate 26. Five other people were also taken to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Authorities say 56-year-old Dale Edward Yarborough of Hanahan is charged with reckless homicide, of felony DUI resulting in death and three counts of felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury.

Yarborough is in jail and it was not immediately known if he had an attorney.
