SAYLORSBURG, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a man and a woman were killed when a pickup truck they were in veered off an eastern Pennsylvania road and rolled down an embankment into a marsh.

State police in Monroe County said crews were called to the Ross Township crash just before 5 p.m. Saturday. Troopers said they found the truck on its roof at the base of the embankment partially submerged in water and thick brush.

Officials said a 47-year-old Saylorsburg man had been ejected from the vehicle and was found submerged beneath the rear of the truck. A 39-year-old woman from Lebanon, New Jersey was found in the passenger seat. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names haven’t been released.
