CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a man in connection with a shooting death of a 17-year-old during a fight in Charlotte last week.
News outlets report that Jahee Tycari Hoke was shot Thursday in the Steele Creek neighborhood and pronounced dead at the scene. Hoke was going to turn 18 the next day.
Police say 28-year-old Terrance D. Gilbert was arrested Saturday and charged with murder in Hoke’s death. It is unclear whether he has an attorney.
Authorities have not said what prompted the fight.
