CENTER POINT, Ala. (AP) - Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies say a Center Point teen has been identified as the victim hit by a car and killed Sunday afternoon.

The Birmingham News reports (https://bit.ly/2eniawU) the coroner’s office says 18-year-old Jeremiah Lemar Glass died at the scene.

Witnesses told investigators Glass was walking along First Street N.W before he was hit. The driver of the car stayed on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Glass was a senior at Center Point High School.
