BARNSTABLE, Mass. (AP) - A teenager has been ordered held without bail after pleading not guilty in a fatal weekend stabbing on Cape Cod.

Police and the district attorney said 18-year-old Kelly Ridley was arraigned on Monday in Barnstable District Court. He’s charged with murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Investigators say two men were stabbed outside a Hyannis home at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday. One victim, 26-year-old Thomas Russell, died. Another victim remained hospitalized Monday. Police have not said what sparked the stabbing.

Ridley was originally detained Saturday for a probation violation.

He’s due back in court next month for a probable cause hearing.
