BRUSH PRAIRIE, Wash. (AP) - Authorities say four children were injured when a school bus left the road in southwest Washington.

The Columbian reports (https://goo.gl/uKXWS9 ) the crash happened at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday in Brush Prairie.

Hockinson School District Superintendent Sandra Yager says the bus was carrying 20 children and was on the way to an elementary school at the time.

Yager says three children were taken to a local hospital by ambulance and a fourth was taken to a hospital by a parent who came to the scene.

Yager says all had minor injuries. She says the rest of the children were taken to school where they were seen by a nurse.

Clark County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Craig Randall says deputies have investigated and no citations were issued.
