MACHIAS, Maine (AP) - Authorities are investigating the death of an inmate at the Washington County Jail in Machias.
WABI-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2eDU5NO) that guards say they found 55-year-old James Roy on the floor of his dorm area with a head wound on Friday morning.
He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead three hours later.
Authorities tell the station that preliminary information shows no suspicious cause for the death.
